Privacy policy

The short version

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We don't ask for accounts, and the weights and destinations you enter are never sent to us or stored. The site is supported by advertising, which does involve cookies from Google, described below.

What we collect

• Calculator inputs: processed locally on your device only. Nothing is transmitted or saved.
• Basic server logs: our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and reliability.
• Email: if you write to us, we keep your message to reply to it. We don't sell or share email addresses.

Advertising and cookies

This site uses Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings, and learn how Google uses data from partner sites in Google's policy. You can also block cookies in your browser settings; the calculator will still work.

Consent for advertising (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

When advertising is active on this site, visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message provided by Google Funding Choices — a Google-certified consent management platform — before personalized advertising is served, and their choices are honoured. In plain terms: no consent, no personalized ads for those visitors.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful. We do not build profiles of individual visitors.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Questions: info@postagecalculator.ca.
